Challenges and opportunities of using artificial intelligence in developing high education students’ speech competency of english
Abstrakt:
Annotation. XXI century skills require using a foreign language as a means of interaction, cognition, self-realization, and social adaptation, as the society demands not only mastering language use but also more soft skills. This case is overwhelmed now, with the language learners depending on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) rather than self-study. Researchers who publish articles about their AI developments generally focus on the technical designs and findings and hardly ever discuss psycho-social factors or soft-skill values, priorities as a person. The aim of this research is to uncover all the challenges and opportunities of using artificial intelligence in developing high education students' speech competency of English.
Tavsif:
The goal of developing oral communication skills in a foreign language in higher education institutions is to develop and apply in practice the skills and qualifications of oral communication that students need to implement in various socially-determining situations, as well as motivation in this process. Thus, a graduate of a higher education institution should be able to communicate freely in a foreign language, respond to the interlocutor's speech using verbal and non-verbal means, create a speech (monologue or dialogue) using professional terms within his specialty, and communicate in a foreign language in speech situations on the basis of topics established in the curriculum.
