Abstrakt:

Abstract. This article analyzes the issue of preserving the level of speech impact in Uzbek and English translations from linguistic and translationological perspectives. In particular, the communicative effectiveness of speech, the pragmatic goal, the adequate expression of emotional-expressive means in translation, and the influence of the cultural context on the effectiveness of speech are considered. In the course of the research, a comparative analysis of the degree of expressiveness of speech is carried out based on the theoretical views of domestic and foreign scientists, as well as textual examples taken from translation practice. The obtained results demonstrate the importance of the translator's speech strategies and linguopragmatic approaches, revealing the problems of adequacy and equivalence in maintaining the impact of speech.

Tavsif:

The translation process is more complex than simply transferring language elements from one language to another - it must convey the communicative intention, emotional-expressive mood, and cultural context of the addressee to the target language. Preserving the speech effect, especially in translation between Uzbek and English, is a pressing issue for linguopragmatics, translation studies, and cultural translation research. In recent years, Uzbek scholars and international researchers have begun to focus on this area, investigating strategies for preserving cultural references, pragmatic equivalence, and speech acts. For example, Bekmurodova and colleagues published a scientific article on models of pragmatic equivalence in translating cultural references from Uzbek literary texts into English, which demonstrates the challenges of equivalence and suggests solutions through practical examples.
