International financial institutions play a crucial role in supporting economic development, institutsional transformation, and structural modernization in emerging and transition economies. Through the provision of long-term financial resources, technical assistance, and policy advice, IFIs contribute to macroeconomic stability, infrastructure development, and the strengthening of public and private sector capacity. For countries undergoing economic reforms, cooperation with international financial institutions represents not only a source of external financing but also an important channel for transferring international best practices and institutional standards.
