The main determinants of export performance in Canada

Abstract

Due to the fact that the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is calculated with the help of net export, we can assume that the country’s export performance has a large effect on the economic growth of the country.

Positive changes in these factors have been influencing export performance which leaded Canada to become the 10th-highest exporter in the world today. This paper will analyze several determinants of export performance in Canada by discussing previous researches, empirical analysis of the collected data, and OLS assumptions. The results of the study can be helpful for understanding the factors of export and for making the right economic decisions in this sector.
